The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. I've lived in most parts of Iowa all my life. Born in 1951 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on the Missouri River, right across is Omaha, Nebraska. My father was a millwright and mother was at home working plus she volunteered a lot and did some part-time work. I've been married now 36 years to Bette.
